Chicken and black bean rolls in a bowl, topped with lime and cilantro, with a can of Casa del Sur black beans in the background

Chicken and black bean rolls

slightly spicy

Ingredients:

Crispy tortilla cones encase a juicy filling of chicken, black beans, and melted cheddar cheese, seasoned with Casa del Sur burrito seasoning. The golden crust sprinkled with sesame seeds provides a pleasant crunchy contrast, while fresh cilantro adds a touch of lightness. This quick snack is ready in under half an hour—perfect for a get-together with friends or as a unique dinner idea.

A method of preparing:

  1. Cut the wraps in half, then cut each half in half again to form quarters.
  2. Lightly brush the edges of the tortillas with beaten egg and roll them into cones. Brush the tops with egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake in the oven or air fryer at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, until golden brown. Remove and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan. Add the onion and ground beef, then fry until browned.
  4. Add the burrito seasoning, black beans, tomato sauce, and some of the cilantro. Stir everything together and cook for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add the cheddar cheese and stir until slightly melted. Fill the baked cones with the prepared filling.
  6. Sprinkle the stuffed cones with the remaining cilantro and serve immediately.

Tip: It's best to stuff the cones just before serving, this way they will remain crispy and won't get soft from the sauce.
